Christmas is just around the corner!
According to the European Commission Enterprise and Industry web site, the "Date of cessation of presumption of conformity of superseded standard" for EN81-1:1998 is 31st December 2011.

The summer shutdown season in Italy is fast approaching.
Atwell International are proud to provide quality safety products, and the VG Overspeed Governor (VG OSG) is no exception. This is a unique product, and as such we are very keen to ensure that it sets the standard for other overspeed governors to follow.
Our broadband service has now been fixed, and we are now able to send emails again.

Following some small design improvements to the control box on the new VG OSG, we are currently waiting for confirmed testing dates from BSI.

Safety Requirements for Construction and Installations of New Electric & Hydraulic Lifts - EN 81-1&2
In May, June and September 2008, a Task Force of the CEN Technical Committee 10 (TC10) met in order to discuss the revision of standards supporting the essential safety requirements of new lifts (revision of EN 81-1& 2 for electrical and hydraulic lifts).

Eastwood Park will be the location of Atwell International's forthcoming conference that will provide all the latest information on the VGRB2 Rope Brake and Uncontrolled Movement Detector, and how it can benefit its users. This specialist centre provides a working environment, allowing Atwell International to carry out complete testing and demonstrations of products in situ.

Atwell International have recently come to the rescue of a late 19th century tourist attraction in Scarborough.
Atwell International has been tasked to provide 200 rope brakes for the Victoria Housing Association, Melbourne's dedicated community housing department. With over 44 job sites across the Melbourne area, the project is set to last six months and will not only improve the lift system within many of the areas residential developments but also help to showcase the effectiveness of the new Rope Brake.
A Worcester company that specialises in lift safety equipment is winning new business in countries as diverse as China and Australia, with help from UK Trade & Investment.
