Accurate Information

The rope brake has to operate in accordance with the criteria stated in EN81-1:1998 and in order to meet this requirement accurate information is required.

As each rope brake is bespoke to an individual lift it is imperative that the rope pitch is measured at the installation point and not at the traction / diverter sheave.

The rope diameter should be checked and stated in ìmmî, if the lift is being re-roped then the new rope size should be stated.

The lift machine details are required to enable us to produce accurate calculations showing the expected slide distances and lift stopping time.
