Accurate Information

The safety gear has to operate in accordance with the criteria stated in EN81-1:1998 and in order to meet this requirement accurate information is required.

The ‘Duty Load’ (Q) is the capacity of the lift car, EN81-1:1998 allows 75kg per person.

The ‘Car and Sling Mass’ (P) is the weight of an empty lift car, if possible this should be check weighed.

Lift speed should be shown in mtr/sec

Travel is required to determine the number of torsion springs fitted to the safety gear.

If adapter plates are required, a site survey service can be offered or details of the car sling will need to be sent.
