Atwell International Ltd has built a good reputation through meeting our aim to provide you with competitively priced components, which meet the requirements of the new lift regulations in respect of conformity and calculations.
We will provide you with full traction and groove pressure calculations for lift machines (including gearless machines). Our calculations will be presented in a format that gives the groove profile information, together with the rope pressure on the grooves and provides the maximum pressure recommended. In addition it will give the estimated life in hours of the machine (based on BS721).
We complete a comprehensive calculation to determine the beam deflections and point loadings of each bedplate that we design and commission for manufacture.

A derivative of the traction calculation package has been developed in conjunction with the design and manufacture of the VG rope brake, to determine the pressure exerted on the ropes and the slide distance of the lift car once the unit is engaged.
These services are carried out free of charge in conjunction with a specific enquiry or order.
Site surveys to determine equipment suitability and to take accurate measurements are also offered, completed by a qualified engineer or draughtsman as appropriate. This service is charged at an additional cost based on travelling distance and length of time involved. Price on application.
