Safety gears provide the ultimate protection against free-fall by mechanically gripping guide rails when activated by the overspeed governor or electronic safety system. Our comprehensive range includes VG progressive safety gears, from compact VG-8 units to heavy-duty VG-7 systems handling up to 12,000kg, plus Gervall instantaneous and progressive models. All gears accommodate various rail types, including cold drawn, machined and aluminium profiles from 8mm-32mm width. Available in unidirectional or bi-directional configurations, with space-saving designs like the VG-5 providing bi-directional protection in a single frame. EN81-20/50 certified for speeds up to 7.5m/s.
